I love how this man calls out the politicians and not the corporations for this. Yes, some companies are awful; but we cannot survive without making a profit even as individuals and they do create jobs. To me, small businesses are the cornerstone of our nation. It always seems to be corrupt politicians who ruin things.

Republican run state, there's your answer. Top 24 states in poverty are ALL run by Republicans! I'm a Union Pipefitter in the Mid-Atlantic region. NONE of us travel to Louisiana because their wages are pathetic along with Right to Work rules and the worst in benefits!

Rich fertile farmland, amazing natural fossil fuel resources and pipelines throughout the country, one of the most important rivers in the world which connects to a gulf that can access both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. It's the way you people think and and act down here. It's your culture which I don't see you ever changing from. Worse school system in the country and you guys are not stupid It's all the bullshit you setup in the way of Life.

Louisiana is the RICHEST STATE, THAT HAS BEEN ALWAYS CONTROL! ENERGY REFINERY AND SHIPPING. THE PUBLIC-SCHOOL ARE DAYCARES. I drove to Louisiana for 30-years! been to every dock. MILLION ARE MADE JUST BY SUPPLING THE OFFSHORE RIG LAST 60 YEARS. THE FUNNY PART in 1990, as soon as you cross into Louisiana, you "hit" pothole, after pothole. HUEY LONG like JIMMY HOFFA, MEN who, (REALLY STOOD-UP FOR THE WORKING PEAPENTS.) CAN'T HAVE THAT, TOM FOOLFRY.

So this discount is designed to entice business to come or stay. Can you guarantee that would stay if you put the taxes at the level like them to be? Not trying to nitpick, but often times when you change something, the other things do not remain the same.

When you accept and realize politicians are in office to do the bidding for the rich and to give middle class and the poor the illusion of having a choice. It all starts to make sense. They could change things by creating a living wage instead of a minimum wage but they won’t.

From a neighbor in Texas I wish y'all the best, thank you for advocating for responsible government like this. I've met so many kind and earnest people from Louisiana & served in the Army with them too. We got so many of y'all after Katrina, some went back & others stayed. I can see Texas veering towards a similar fate if we don't get our heads outta the sand about corruption in state offices. I wish y'all the best & want to see your state succeed.

They're going on and on. It's so much simpler to just get to the point. Poor states are poor, because their citizens accept the paradox of wanted Black people to be poor and/or powerless. Because they accept the premise that the majority of Blacks must remain poor and/or excluded from economic enterprise, they all suffer as a whole. It's rather obvious they're electing corrupt politicians. So ask yourself: what's really their motivations for voting the ways they do despite the continuing results of those votes? Some rather be poor than live comfortably and have to see "others" living comfortably too. LMFAO

It depends on what you're looking for, what you can afford, and where you want to go. Baton Rouge is in a housing crisis, and crime is higher than the national average in most cities. However, the culture in the Southwest region and New Orleans is absolutely captivating if you experience it right. I'd suggest meeting as many locals as possible to get their opinions on a place before looking into it

If Louisiana increases taxes on these businesses to the levels of a state like Texas, they will close down and move their business to states like Texas. The resulting loss in good jobs, sales taxes, and property taxes would be a disaster for Louisiana. The system needs reforming, but it's not as simple as these presenters are making it out to be. The root of the problem is too many people in that state want the government to take care of them instead of making their lives better themselves. It's all about sports, drinking, and partying over an actual career for way too many people. I moved away 28 years ago and every time I go back to visit, it gets more and more obvious that the people and their mindset are the problem. The political leadership is a reflection of the people. Louisiana is no exception.

12:47 I'm from Louisiana. Moved away years ago. Never looked back. Until criminal business leaders are contained, nothing is gonna change. I love my home, but never moving back until the real criminals are kicked out. And not the People. ❤ and you cant blame the oil companies, its the politicians and legislation who control what entities are tax exempt.
